AAAAAAAH, amazinggggggggg
Everything sounds perfect, it's like an agressive track for a Persona Game
Awesome Job, LJC you're one my of my favs newgrounds artists now

LJCoffee responds:

Many thanks! As you can see, I haven't been extremely active for a few years but lately I've been feeling like I should be posting more. We'll see what happens over the coming months. If you're interested in a collab, perhaps we could arrange something - I'd love to remix some of your vocals sometime.

I think Mexxy is Chaos and Chaos is magick. I like it a lot, the percussion structure is unique and the smooth transition into melody is quite lovely.
I really like the way you treated the basses, they don't eat other instruments but yet are part of the main hook of the track, great EQ there!
Great job! And guess what?
I listened to it again but this time with newgrounds looping box checked and it sounded as a perfect loop for something as well!

LJCoffee responds:

Apparently, you know.

I found it fascinating that you used both "Chaos" and "magick" in your comments. It's slightly disturbing - but in a very comforting sort of way.

Thank you, June.

Hey that's pretty awesome, I really like the dark atmosphere here!
The bass construction and the counterpoint after the voice is amazing.
Great job!! haha you could cut the ending tail and use the newgrounds looping option because this can really work as a loop!

I actually like it a lot. It works perfect for what it is meant to be, an adventure/boss track
I don't think there's need for too much melody variation.
I understand what you mean by making the sub woofer shake and all that, but you don't need to peak your volumes to do it, there are many ways to do that effect but they require a lot of practice, I still can't get it right haha
I really like it, I can imagine it in a video game.

ant4505 responds:

Wow , 5 stars :)

I can't write down my feeling right now but thanks you a lot!

Also you are right about the possibility of making all shake like a earthquake I just found raising the volumes of the drums and manage to master the rest to not lose anythings was funny.

About that part: "I don't think there's need for too much melody variation." I know thats is opinion but my first version had less variations and I found it a bit too repetitive there was nothing to keep the attention until the end.

The first version outro was exactly the same as at 00:28 second to 1:28 min. so to "fix" that I added a lead strings with new a melody to make like a climax for the end. Basically I had no choice sorry XD.

Peace

I really liked it, Zechnition. I love the "wintery" feel!!
The piano vst is a little too bright, maybe some volume modulation, or try to soften the keys, that would would make it even smoother!!!
It really captures a night winter night, I love it.
Good job!

Zechnition responds:

Thanks, next time I will try making the piano keys softer. =D

Amazing mixing there. Love the subtleness and the space that it creates.
I'd love to play a game with this music.
Great job! I didn't listen to the version before this one, but sometimes we need to spend a long time making something and failing in order to do something much better!
I didn't make it in the contest either u.u but anyway, great job!

LexRodent responds:

Thanks for this review bluebooblue.
It's good to know I fixed this track properly :) The former version was the same basic idea, but had too much stuff going on, which made it sound a little (more like a lot) dirty.
You are right, we need to spend time and fail in order to get better.

Hi Drewpy, I've scouted you into the audio portal because I liked your style.
I love the fast-paced happy melody, the composition itself it's great!
About the mixing tho, the main melodies volumes are a little too high! I'd recommend turning down the volume a little bit and maybe some EQ to make it fit better into the track!
Search for "subtractive eq" in google and you'll find great tutorials and it really boosts up the quality of your tracks!
Anyway, great job!

Drewpy responds:

Thanks for the subtractive eq advice!

Love it, I really like this track :') it's very visual! I imagine a city but lights are kinda blurry

AntonM responds:

Thanks duuude! :D And very cool visual interpretation

Wonderful, I love the style you added to it, Super Mario World was one of my favorites too, the music was so fun :') the bass sounds sweeeeeeeeeet

AinigmA responds:

Hi bluebooblue!
